Following the most closely contested public vote in the history of the prestigious Soil Association Organic Awards, HayMax er blevet erklæret vinder af Health & Skønhed kategori for 2014.
The ‘Organic Awards’ are the most widely respected awards in the organic industry and have been running under the name ‘Organic Food Awards’ for 28 ĂĄr. This year for the first time, the awards have been extended beyond the traditional food categories to include health & beauty, fashion and textiles, places to stay, supermarket, independent retailers and farm visits.
The awards were shortlisted by a panel of expert judges including; author and broadcaster Liz Earle MBE, organic beauty brand founder, environmental campaigner and TV personality Jo Wood and winner of the international environmental award, The Sophie Prize 2011, Tristram Stuart (see the full list of judges here).
The shortlisted finalists were then presented to the public for voting. The battle for votes commenced and over 10,000 votes flooded in throughout September. (‘Organic September‘ to be precise).
On the evening of Wednesday 8th October, HayMax attended the Soil Association Awards Ceremony at STEAM, the Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon (a fascinating venue which played host to the Soil Association Annual Conference).
After a delicious three course organic dinner courtesy of generous produce supplier-donors, the awards were presented. Read the full list of winners here: Organic Award Winners 2014.
‘Organic’ has defined HayMax from the very beginning and to be able to display the prestigious award logo with pride is very exciting. We are flattered that the public has voted and declared HayMax the winner – we were up against some amazing products. Thank you to everyone that has shown HayMax such overwhelming support. We couldn’t have done this without you (cheesy but true)!
Here’s a photo of the winners on the dance floor. (Max is third from the right on the back row, glowing bright like a beacon!)
