studies & Surveys

HayMax has undergone two independent studies at the National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit (NPARU- The UK’s leading Authority on Airborne Allergens), two surveys by Allergy UK (the leading UK allergy charity) and one trial by HayMax at the very beginning…

Op deze pagina vindt u een samenvatting van elk onderzoek en studie te vinden, and a link for downloading the complete reports. They are quite long, but make a fascinating read!

Survey on HayMax, 2015.

In 2015, Allergy UK conducted a survey called ‘The Impact of Hay Fever, a Survey by Allergy UK, Surveying the Effectiveness of HayMax Allergen Barrier Balm’. The first part of the survey was about the respondents hay fever symptoms, and the second half asked respondents to try HayMax and answer a series of questions post trial.

Key survey finding: When asked if overall HayMax worked, 80% said ‘Yes’ (134/166 respondents).

There are lots more interesting statistics in the report, which can be downloaded using the link below.

Survey on HayMax, 2014.

In 2014, Allergy UK conducted a survey called ‘Are you suffering from seasonal allergic rhinitis (hooikoorts)? – Surveying the effectiveness of HayMax allergen barrier balm.

As with the 2015 survey, the first half of the survey was to help us better understand the respondents symptoms, and the second half was completed after trialling HayMax, either on themselves or on their children. The results were fantastic.

Key survey finding: 78% said that HayMax helped some or all of their symptoms (56/73).

HayMax Survey at the University of Worcester (NPARU), 2012.

This further study looked at whether HayMax can trap indoor and outdoor airborne particles such as pollens in a more controlled environment. The study required healthy volunteers who did not suffer from allergic rhinitis to visit NPARU 4 times over a 3 week period.

Key trial finding: HayMax traps over a third of pollen before it enters the body, in addition to dust mite allergens and pet dander.

HayMax Survey at the University of Worcester (NPARU), 2009.

Professor Jean Emberlin, directeur van The National Pollen en Aerobiology Research Unit (NPARU) at the University of Worcester completed independent research on HayMax™ during the peak grass pollen season in 2009.

The study aimed to assess the number of pollen grains that are trapped by HayMax balm when applied in a standard manner to the rim and the inside of nostrils compared with the amount deposited on uncoated nostrils.

Key trial finding: The application of HayMax™ to the lower part and rim of the nostrils does trap significantly more pollen than an uncoated nostril.

Moscow State Trials- “Efficacy of pollen blocker cream in the treatment of allergic rhinitis

This was a double-blind placebo controlled trial conducted to show the efficacy of pollen barriers. This was not a trial conducted on HayMax, but it is an interesting study of a similar type of product.

Onze allereerste proeven! We like testing on humans…

We ran a trial of HayMax™ in July, Augustus en september van 2004.

Ongeveer 700 mensen (Max Wiseberg’s contact list at his previous business) were emailed and offered free product in exchange for genuine and honest answers in a questionnaire. Apart from 2, de respondenten waren mensen die niet wisten Max, who had had the email passed on to them by Max’s contact.

Dit was een eenvoudige proef zonder controlegroep en geen placebo en werd niet gepubliceerd en niet kon worden beschouwd als een soort van klinische proef worden. It was done in order to establish that the product worked for people other than its inventor and that it might be marketable.

Pollen waren regelmatig hoog tijdens de proef.

Ze werden gevraagd om het te beoordelen op een schaal van 1 naar 5:

  • 5; Briljant werkte. Geen niest, geen irritatie van de ogen
  • 4: Werkte goed.

All respondents who had the opportunity to try HayMax™ during their allergic season reported that HayMax™ worked.

There were no reported side effects.

HayMax™ would like to conduct proper clinical trials in the future, wanneer de middelen zal toestaan.
